Having recently announced his new album, CHROMATOPIA, NoMBe has dropped the new single ‘Heels’. The dreamy track is a carefully crafted example of modern indie-pop, with a unique vocal sitting above distant percussion and airy chords. Despite the sparseness of the texture, NoMBe has a gift for creating a powerful, thick and anthemic chorus. The video for the track is set in a desert and full of dancing. He explains, “we must’ve gone over 20 treatment ideas for the video and it came down to this simple concept 4 days before shooting... The whole team did a phenomenal job and I finally got to dance with my girl Bukunmi on camera”. He might be the godson of Chaka Khan, but NoMBe has a gift for music which is all his own. - Dan Peeke
